O ano de 2010 tem sido muito bom para a Wavegliders, fruto dos novos modelos lançados, dos intercâmbios que temos feitos com shapers da Califórnia e da incansável procura por melhorar a qualidade das nossas pranchas.
Inevitavelmente a fábrica foi-se tornando pequena obrigando-nos a ampliar as nossas instalações.
Construímos uma nova sala de laminação e duas para lixa e polimentos. Dispomos agora de um melhor e mais eficaz espaço de trabalho que nos permite continuar a elevar os padrões de qualidade e oferecer excelentes condições aos shapers que nos visitam.

2010 has been a great year for Wavegliders. The hard work on new models, the exchange with shapers from California and the continuous effortt to improve the quality of our surfboards has paid off.
Inevitably, the factory became small for the amount of work we’re getting, forcing us to make some changes.
We have built a new glassing room and 2 new rooms for sanding and polishing. Now we have a bigger and more effective working space that allows us to keep improving our quality standards and offer better conditions to the shapers that visit us.

The Chip shows up as a new model in the Wavegliders quiver.

It´s born after the development of the Noserider model, but with a wider round tail,

a well pronounced stepdeck and the finishing touch of the skeg for the pure feeling.

Feedback has been amazing about the maneuverability and the ability that it has

Uma quad moderna para um surfista experiente que vem de pranchas maiores.
Era necessário manter um bom volume para confiança e facilidade de adaptação, mas dar-lhe possibilidades de performance mais típicas de pranchas mais pequenas. Os wings permitem manter o tail mais estreito para facilitar as manobras sem necessidade de cortar na largura da prancha. O fundo com côncavos bem pronunciados e um pouco de Vee á saída do tail, garante muito velocidade e facilidade de troca de borda.

A modern Quad for a experienced surfer that comes from bigger boards.
We wanted to keep a good volume for easy adaptation and confidence, but give it performance abilities more common on smaller boards. The wings allow keeping the tail width short for manoeuvrability while still keeping the wide point around 22”. The bottom contours with deep concaves and Vee of the tail make it very fast and loose, making rail transition easy.
